Five videos are presented here, each built from landscape footage filmed from a nadir point of view, the camera directed straight downward, detaching the familiar from its context. These aerial perspectives were chosen deliberately, and edited with equal intention. Through colour, the underlying content of each map is obscured: what might otherwise communicate danger or urgency is transformed into something fluid, shifting patterns that draw the eye rather than warn it.
The colours themselves are not static decoration. They breathe and move in response to an original soundtrack, creating a dialogue between the sonic and the visual that is the defining logic of the work. Beauty becomes a kind of concealment and concealment, a kind of composition.
